Course Management
Planning our way around the course is an interesting and important part of the game, and we shouldn't feel fixed in a singular strategy or club choice when we are a certain distance from the hole. For some holes, even long ones, taking driver off the tee might cause more trouble than it's worth and playing safer could be the best option. Adjusting to numerous different clubs in the bag to get as close as possible to the green on a Par 5 might be more challenging than repeating the same 7 iron swing three times. There are many ways to navigate around the course and various choices we can make based on our swing, the conditions, our lie, or the hole design. Knowing we have options, and considering them, is the best tool in our bag for a more confidence and fun out on the course.
The videos below will showcase some different strategies for managing our way around the course and demonstrates just a fraction of the kinds of choices we can make. This section is a little sparse for now, but with such a vast an important topic, I'll be updating it with a lot of helpful content soon.
